Adding a pesticide to the mix

When you whitewash you’re tree’s would it .be beneficial to add a pesticide in the mix? If you have rodent problems in the winter, they might not like it. A mouthful of Imadin might be a little much for them.

I’ve always added a shot of permethrin, diazinon (back in the day), or whatever other liquid insecticide I have around.

I’ve never done it, but have heard of people adding some super hot pepper sauce (Blair’s MegaDeath Sauce or equivalent) also.
