Does anyone know which vegetable plants have Adventitious root systems and will benefit early from trenching as seedlings? The only one I’m positive of are Tomatoes. From my initial research I’ve found that Tomatillos and Ground cherries have have Adventitious roots as well but other nightshade plants like Eggplant and peppers do not. Is that accurate? Thanks in advance!
Pepper plants have adventitious roots if the stem above ground is kept dark and humid but not moist. I use toilet paper tubes on my seedling pepper plants to get root up 3 inches on the stem.
