Agroclimate has a new Chill Hours map tool

Quite useful. Found we have 430 chill hours so far this season so far. Great chances to clock 800 total hours this season using the forecast map{different map}.

How do you change the location, I’ve never been able to figure how to set my location, maybe it’s not in their database tho

You just move the map to your location while zooming in on your location.

Then click Load Data. I alway turn on the historical data too. I get it right on my property.

I clicked Load Data but the only data that is appearing is from the southeast USA.

Yeah I think it shows only parts of Florida and Georgia

Ah sorry about that.

No worries got my hopes up. I could calculate them with my weather station but it would take a lot of time manually adding them up. Not to mention subtracting the hours for above and below

This is the closest thing I have found for a US nationwide map, but to be honest haven’t dug too deep.

Its useless to use one of the methods that subtract hours.

I’ve done it for my location (south Louisiana), and without fail I will be well into the negative chill hours every winter.

Since i am growing fruit trees that require some chill and they are fruiting, i know that method doesn’t work, at least for me here.

I think we just pick trees that are ballpark to the adverts and see what works. Though I am counting all time 32<x<45 (I’m over 400 now) using my weather station, it’s more a curiosity than something I’m banking on.
