Groworganic.com will have All-in-one Almond on Viking rootstock this season. If I’m correct, this is the first time that DWN be offering a tree on a commercial rootstock to the home gardener.

Vikinking is a peach x almond x apricot x plum hybrid, or 50% peach, 25% almond, 12.50% apricot, and 12.50% plum.

is there any benefit with this rootstock?

According to some articles, Viking is immune to rootnot nematode and more tolerant to alkaline soils than nemaguard.

Oh, and it’s now off patent.

More tolerant of wet soil too, does anyone know where this rootstock can be bought?
