Alternative heating for Greenhouse

Has anyone tried something like this, or crisco wick in tandem with terra cotta pot pyramids to heat their greenhouses? Curious how your experiences went

The only thing that’s worked for me has been 2 heaters on continuously with a fan as well. My greenhouse is 10.5, maybe 12 (don’t remember lol) x 24 ft long though. My electric bill for the last 2 months was roughly 400$ though so I’m getting a solar powered generator instead

my father retrofitted a old trailer furnace in his home made 10’ x 20’ greenhouse. worked great for 15 or so years. was cheap to operate.

My 8’x12’ is too small for something like that, I was curious if something like these heating solutions would make sense for cold evenings to save a little money on the heater. It’s cheap to run, but if the electricity goes out I lose a lot of plants haha

have you checked out those small diesel heaters? my brother heats his 10’ x 15’ garage with one. cheap to buy and run.

yeah i just saw the elec. comment. maybe a small wood stove with bricks around it to retain heat?

the diesel heaters dont draw much juice. you could wire in a battery backup to kick on if the power goes out.
