Any experience maximizing Breba Fig Crop?

Hi,
I discovered this utube video by Bob Duncan several years ago and have found his pruning technique to be very helpful for making the most of the early fig crop, since here where I live near Seattle we do not have a long enough growing season or the heat to ripen the main
crop.

Pruning video for Breba crop in cool climates: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RB0D_tuKgtQ
This video features the Dessert King variety which he says does best in cool climates.

So I am hoping to hear from others who try to grow figs in cooler regions, as to what particular practices you follow that are effective.

I was just going to ask a question about this. If a fig plant grows like crazy from the winter die off; should you clip the tops and let it develop below the cuts.

I had forgotten I even posted about it before. I will study up the links…thanks!
