I am looking for a source of Rhodiola rosea (Rose root, Golden root) plant. I can find seeds in many places, but I am not sure if it is the best way to propagate it. I know it is very easily propagated by piece of root, and spring is the time to dig it up and divide. I can find only one source of a live plant, and it is on Amazon (Japanese Maples and Evergreens is the seller), but when I google them and go to their own website, they do not have it listed there. As 4 inches pot will cost me $27 from Amazon I kind of hesitate to buy it from unknown source. I would better buy form a fellow USA gardener if you have it.
Wish I had it. I’ve been taking Rhodiola for about a year and it does seem to really help with energy and my immune system.
I’m wary of seeds too, as I have too often bought seeds and gotten 0 germination (with and without cold treatment, nicking the seeds, soaking, etc).
I actually never took it internally, but my mother used to make root infusion an it works magically on mouth sores and help with gum issues. I usually took some when I visited her in Russia. But now she is gone and I need to find my own source.
