We have like 3 goumi threads going. Goumi are partially self-fertile. That is you will get a few cups of berries vs

My ‘Carmine’ (sometimes referred to as “Tillamook” based on its place of origin) is planted over a hundred feet from the next closest goumi plant, but still sets very full crops of fruit. I believe it is most likely self fertile.

I only have Carmine on my property and have not seen another goumi in the neighborhood. Mine has been in ground for 2 years and finally set a full and abundant crop. It only gets direct sun the 2nd half of the day. One of my favorite berry producing shrubs.

I have 3 sweet scarlet bushes that celebrated their 3 year in ground. They get about 5 to 6 hours of sunlight a day. This year I picked 2 quarts of berries, ate fist fulls for a three weeks and shared so many with the birds that they stopped eating them. My experience has been they are self fertile.
