I put couple apple seeds in the container inside, some sprouted but suddenly two of them died in one day. Looks like there is an issue with bottom part of the stem. Any ideas what causing it? Overwatering?

Looks like overwatering. When i was a kid i used about 10% ash and found they really liked that. I just went around the house and collected and dumped the ash trays into the pot. I dont smoke btw but when i was a kid everyone did.
