On June 25th, there were no blossoms on the Dorsett and a few apples on the Anna, I thought for sure these trees were done for this year.
Today, I have a Dorsett Golden and an Anna Apple tree that seem to be flowering in sync, Dorsett on the left and Anna on the right.
In the past on the Anna Apple Tree, I had a lot of flowers begin to develop but turn yellow on the stems and die, just like the picture below. Does someone know what’s the cause of the flowers not fully developing and dying off?
The Anna did have a recent attack from aphids and I sprayed the tree with neem oil which didn’t do well. The aphids were back shortly after the initial neem oil application and decided to hit it with some Take Down which are holding them at bay for now.
Thanks in advance,
Ron
