I’ve been trying to grow apples in Florida for the better part of 7 years. With little success. At this point, I realize some things are just not meant to be, so I’m leaving the 3 trees I have left and don’t plan to add any more. It’s not worth the hassle, grow what your climate let’s you…that’s my new motto…
Anyway, here’s a pic of one of the remaining trees. For some reason this one continuously get’s this powdery substance growing on it, pretty sure they’re wooly aphids…I’ve tried all manner of treatment to get rid of them but to no avail. Now the limbs are all covered with these huge galls. Strange thing is, this tree is otherwise the healthiest of all of them. Go figure… Suggestions?
