I pruned my apricot after harvest, in mid or end of July. Now it grew even more than it was before pruning. I definitely can’t let it be that thick for the next year harvest - most of the fruit will be in shade. What is better - prune it now(it is still very green and do not show any sign of getting to dormancy), prune it in late fall when leaves fall off or prune in early spring?
