April showers bring May Flowers!

April, May, June - ‘whatever’!
I wanted to share some shots of flowers, and figured others might too.
It was breezy when I took these pics - so they are a little blurry.

I invested in some wonderful bearded iris last year. This is their second year in bloom.

I took some more photos late this afternoon.

My ‘Costco’ peony. Magnificent blooms. It was the only one left on the shelf that was this color. I would have grabbed a couple more . . . but all that was left was pink.

There are more varieties in this iris bed, but none are this great.

They are actually almost black. And yes . . . they are gorgeous. Thanks.

I posted this one in the other bloom thread, but since it’s not a fruit flower it really belongs here:

Wild mayflowers in the woods today

Also in my garden:

Wild ginger. The flowers are small and concealed unless you pull back the leaf litter, but I find them really interesting.

The blue form of pulmonaria.

I went to the Fairchild botanical garden in Miami Florida about a week ago. It was beyond spectacular

Zone 3a, first flower I’ve seen in this area of the country (planted bulbs last fall).
