The upper leaves on our newly planted 5’ orange tree are a light greenish/yellow color with green veins. The middle and lower leaves look a nice dark green. It was like this when we bought it and planted it two weeks ago. Haven’t fertilized yet, no new growth seen. Is there anything I should do, or just wait it out? Thanks, Ed
I would fertilize it gently with a well balanced citrus fertilizer. Growth coming out of winter tends to be a bit pale but those dark veins indicate the plant was not fertilized for spring. Nothing bad IMO.
For the first year, I suggest gentle and frequent applications.

Looks moderately overwatering to me.
You know you both could be right, they keep those things soaked in the store. Will try and let it dry out before watering. Our soil is sandy, and I mixed some garden soil with natural sandy soil in the planting hole. Weather has been sunny, warm and dry, so it’s not hard to get it to dry out.
Nothing like a little fertilizer, and a few warm sunny days. The yellow is almost gone. Thanks for the tips.
