As I’m reading through kiwi info for choices, I notice Agristart doesn’t list any of the AU kiwis for sale.

Perhaps they were never rolled out?

I have au golden sunshine that has produced the last 3 years. The quality of the fruit is inferior to the zespri brand fruit from the store. Zespri flesh color is way more yellow than AU GS. Not sure which variety the zespri is. I’d rather have AU GS than no kiwi and they ate decent, just not amazing in my yard.

I don’t have any specifics, but I have been talking to someone who propagates vines for OGW and he has just about everything you can get in the USA, including the golden kiwis. I expect they will be available from OGW at some point.

I emailed OGW this summer to ask about golden kiwis and they confirmed they are growing “some” but don’t have an ETA for retail yet and suggested checking back in the summer of 2024.

Yesterday I sent an email to One Green World about golden kiwi propagation and here is their response:

“Thanks for reaching out, and you are absolutely correct! We are super excited to begin propagating and growing golden kiwi, and anticipate having plants ready for the public next spring!“

I emailed agristarts recently and was told that they have AU kiwis in production and online retailers should have them available next spring. If any nursery wants to order them wholesale, they can contact Ty Strode with agristarts to get on a waiting list for 72 count TC trays.
