I have 4 avocado trees planted in front, we’re calling it the “Avocado Island”. This side of the house is west facing and gets very hot during the summer. So to protect these young trees, I put bambo structure over each, staked down, weighed down and covered in burlap. The teepee’s are a good talking point with neighbors. The varieties from right to left in picture are: Reed, Sharwil/Kona, Fuerte, and Hass. This mix should keep us in avocado’s year round.
