Ayers pear!

My Ayers tree got fireblight which started at the top of the tree and was working down. I cut the top 6 feet out to hopefully stop it. The tree had several pears developing. None remain.

Are you sure it was a real ayers?

I can only say that the fruit it was developing were consistent with pictures of Ayers.
