Bagging results and anything related 2019

This year I sprayed a lot of surround onto my tiny pears in an attempt to let them get bigger to make for easier bagging. I though everything was going well and the bags went on much easier this year. After bagging I started noticing the little dimples on my Korean Giant pear that later looked like craters. I’m guessing that this damage is from stinkbugs instead of PC. No problems were observed on other varieties of pears which seems odd to me. Guess I will go back to bagging earlier next year.

So far no earwigs in my apple bags this year, but something unseen got into the pears

Bill,
Yup, I have not been able to fully prevent damage from Tarnished plant bugs, stink bugs, etc. I don’t bag Asian pears so I have seen that type of damage on my fruit every year.
