Berry seed vendors

Good afternoon. I have ordered some seeds from Sheffields in the past and have no complaints. I did have low germination but I also had mold issues so I can accept the blame on that. I have been reading about treeshrubseeds.com also and was wondering if anyone had any experience with them? Or if anyone had experience with both and preferred one over the other?

For anyone interested I plan on ordering the following:

Prunus tomentosa (Nanking Cherry)
Hippophae rhamnoides (Seaberry)
Amorpha fruticosa (False Indigo)
Caragana arborescens (Siberian Peashrub)
Amelanchanier arborea (Juneberry)

The sea berry as an example looks decent. The seed germination has been tested and looks like it is 50% or greater. They are not easy to grow here.

I like both companies. Over the last nearly 15-years I’ve ordered from both.

Seaberry seedlings may result in a high percentage of non-fruiting shrubs.

I’ve ordered from both of them, and been pleased with both.
I can’t bring prunus into Canada from the US, but can bring castanea.
For those in Canada, using commercial seedhouses in the US, the import requirements can be found at inspection.gc.ca
So as not to hijack this thread, I’ll discuss that if others want the info, in a seperate thread.
