Best Soil Mix For Pomegranate?

I’m planting some in ground pomegranate trees and I decided to go with raised beds for a few of them. I have heavy clay soil and I dont think it drains very well. I also get heavy rains in the summer so my may concern is drainage. I want to give my pomegranates the best environment I am able to give them. I decided to go with potting mix in my raised bed since they are focused around drainage, will this work? I wasn’t sure if I should add sand or anything like that. Here is a picture of my set up.

From heavy clay, black loam, lime rich soils, dry rocky hillsides to sandy soil, the pomegranate will grow almost anywhere. That being said, though pomegranates will tolerate most any type of average garden soil, they grow best in fertile, deep, loam soil that is rich with humus, as do most other fruit trees…

Thanks for the info. How do you suggest I amend the soil?
