Most of those look totally recoverable, though! Those are Valentines?
was at lowes a few weeks ago when we had our last frost. the dumpster there was full of fancy hostas that had a leaf or 2 burned. they could have trimmed those leaves off and the plants would have put out new ones. instead, there were many dozens thrown out. they didnt even try to keep the containers or trays! very sad! if the dumpster wasnt in the fenced area i would have grabbed a bunch and resold them.
Yeah, itâs the price of being able to get what we want, whenever we want it. The best way to ensure that is for the stores to have more stuff than they think theyâll sell. Itâs also built into the pricing structure.
They donât pay their vendors until they sell the plants.
(The ones going into the dumpsterâŚtheyâre not selling!)
Go figure.
The Lowes around here have discounted plants that are in not in best of condition. It may be up to the managers to decide what to do with such plants.
Mostly valentine. They had a few Cupid, Crimson Passion, and a Romeo. I got a Crimson Passion. I wanted to get more but Iâm really running out of room.
