Happy 4th of July everyone!
Tested out a product I think will be helpful for those with taller fruit trees thanks to @Plants for sharing 15’ Umbrella Frame for Bird Netting.
Bought this for my peach tree which is around 14 ft tall because birds have been decimating my peaches and nectarines. The annoying thing about birds is they don’t even eat 1/4 of the fruits, all they do is peck it once and the whole thing is ruined Anyways I tried a bunch of repellers/deterrents which were pretty useless because birds can quickly catch on. Then I turned to netting and tried the pvc waterpipe method which is just impossible and such a hassle for a tree this size.
I’d say this thing really just saves a lot of hassle for netting bigger trees which is why I really like it. It’s easy to put together, just click tubes together and the package came with everything in it with the net. For the price I think it’s worth it since it’ll last years. I think it’ll be useful for anyone with a tall fruit tree that attracts birds. As for squirrels/rodents mine worked against them, probably scared because they don’t recognize what it is
