Will this be the year that I lose no berries to the birds? Looks a lot like ghostly jellyfish.
Awesome! So what is that? Looks like it would keep swd out too!
I initially put the net on for bird protection but I think your right as it could protect from swd also. It is a mosquito netting.
The net goes on easy and it wasn’t a problem to remove. It is polyester material and I’m hoping to get a few years use out of them.
Looks good. I can use a net to keep the birds off, but the chipmunks crawl under or chew through. I’d be interested to see how your approach works if you have chipmunks around.
I have to get some of them myself. Do you know what size? Or where they have them?
I do have chipmunks but as of now they haven’t bothered my blueberries.
What store did you get it from?
I bought these nets from my local Walmart in the camping section.
Sorry but I don’t know what size it is.
No worries on size, cool, I’ll look for them, Thanks for the tip!
How tall and ho w wide are those trees?
Your trees look very nice and uniformed.
Can you take them down for us to measure?
This is the first year that I decided not to BirdBlock my blueberries and I’m happier for it. Yes, I do have some loses, but it’s a lot less stressful this way. There’s plenty of berries for me and the birds. I grow more than I care to harvest.
Birds here would take every one of them. Nobody told them about sharing.
Love it!!!
Same at my place. The birds will get every one of the blueberries.
I love this.
My G-kids came over yesterday and stripped mine clean. I have some mosquito netting and may try it next year because it seems easier than managing that large piece of birdnetting. That is, draping each bush seems easier than netting the whole patch. The later makes it a little harder to get in and weed. Thanks for the idea.
These trees are about 5-6’ high and about 4’ wide.
