Just last week, I noticed small black/brown spots on my Asian pear tree leaves and more so on my apple tree. Has it been hit by disease this late in the season? The Asian pear tree leaves were nice glossy green this whole time.

Hello Sheri, I have had a terrible bout with fabraea leaf spot on my Potomac and Ayers pear trees. Total defoliation. I think others on forum will know exactly what you have. I think it may be Frog eye fungus or black rot fungus.
