BlackBerry not growing upright

I have this Prime Ark Freedom Blackberry that I planted as bare root this year is not seeming to want to grow upwards I’ve got 7 canes some of them are already hardened, what should I do to promote higher growth? Should I cut all of them but one green cane and see if it starts growing upward?

It is fine the way it is. Next year it will send out much taller canes.

I have it growing on an RCA trellis system so I do need it to grow upright it comes down to it I might just prune it down to two canes and see what happens

when 1st planted they send out floppy weak canes. like Steve said, just let it grow without being held back and next years canes will be much bigger and upright. if you cut any off now, you will set it back.

echoing what poncirusguy and steveb4 said. the first year canes might be floppy, but they will provide the energy for canes to grow erect next year.

propping up the floppies is a good idea.
