I’m starting to see some buds for blooms. Looking forward to some fresh snapped beans.

I bought BL seeds this year - having trouble finding any good pole beans. But I won’t even be able to plant mine for about three weeks!

The only Blue Lake beans I have ever tasted were from a Walmart can and I’m pretty sure they came from the non runner type.

Pretty much correct Auburn. Blue lake bush beans are standard fare for commercial canning. I saw fields of breeders beans when I visited Jim Myers at OSU in 2012. He was working on disease tolerance.

Blue Lake pole bean excellent (if picked before hulls get tough/stringy).

Yep.And they grow nice and healthy. But picking them on the early side works for me, too.
