Blue Violet. Should I Keep Or Treat?

Picked up blue violet from free wood chips and now half the fruit garden and a portion of the lawn has blue violet growing in it. It will inevitably spread throughout the neighborhood going at this rate. What would you do? Id like to maintain a layer of mulch over the garden to keep it looking nice, but that doesn’t look like its going to happen without severe intervention. Any advice is appreciated.

I intentionally spread it in my yard. To me, it’s a native wild flower that is edible and pretty. Is it actually that bad for my crops nearby?

I also intentionally spread this because its native here and a nice hearty ground cover

I guess ill just let it ride and if the neighbor asks me about it ill… well idk what im gonna do to be honest. ill figure it out. Maybe fertlize the lawn so the grass may potentially out grow it. And just keep the violet in the garden area.

They’re pretty this time of year. Im big on garden aesthetics so they get removed from certain areas, but am getting more lax about that and have also intentionally planted in a specific area. I certainly wouldn’t break out poisons to address them. At most, cardboard and mulch over.

I agree with everyone. I have blue and white ones growing where ever they want on my yard. They are native and supposedly a pollen source.
