Looking for suggestions for pricing organic blueberries for roadside stand. Any ideas what a fair price, by the pint.
In this area the going rate is $2.50-$3 per pound, for you pick. Most of the blueberries are organic here.
$4 per pint for already picked…but a lot depends on your local market.
Thanks for the replies. Much appreciated.
Non Organic Michigan blueberries are $1.99 per pint at local Save-A-Lot grocery store.
But, I have 2 or 3 quarts of my own organic (but not “certified”) in the fridge … so I’m good on blueberries for awhile.
Range is $12 to $20 per gallon here in northwest Alabama. Early season fruit runs $16 to $20 while later season can go down to $12.
I sell at $4.00/pint and mine aren’t organic. Those are PA prices and no one ever seems to balk at me about it. But I also invest good money into the ferts for my berries, so in comparison they make NJ blueberries taste like the sand they’re grown in.
