Hi all I new to fruit tree growing. I planted two bare root peach trees this spring. I got to close with the mower and scraped the base of the tree. How do I mend this

I agree. I would leave it alone.

In addition to what @Bradybb said, you may want to cage the tree so you won’t accidentally hit it again.

Caging also will protect your tree against bunnies, deer, etc.

I would take a sharp knife and cut a clean edge on the wound. I find they heal faster that way.
