Brown rot pressure following a zero crop year in prunus?

Here in central ON, the last few years have been really pitiful for Prunus where I’m at. Severe winters all but totally eliminated 2022’s crop, and the crop in '23 was absolutely zero due to a late hard freeze.

I don’t think a single prunus, wild or otherwise, fruited here in my region. What do you think Brown rot pressure is like going into this spring?

I think brown rot is always present especially in an older established orchard. What happened last year probably doesn’t have a big influence on this year. If the Spring and the Summer are dry pressure will be low. If you’re in drought during this Spring and Summer pressure will be even lower. In any case having a good spray program with a fungicide effective against brown rot is best way to make sure you have a good crop.
