Tam Kams out the 2nd floor window
Too many fruitlets on this 20th Century. I must’ve removed at least 80.
Harrow Sweet holding a modest crop.
My first ever nutlets on my Kanza pecan, planted in 2017. Do these look pollinated? I think they’ve gotten a fair amount larger than when they first appeared. At what size should I get my hopes up?

@RedRam … no expert on that subject. Found the doc online that may help.
It says that once the female flowers change from shiny / waxy (which is sign they are receptive) to dull/dry they are no longer receptive of pollen.
Looks like you are past that… and have nuts developing to me.
Good luck !
Looks like my Luma apiculata bush is going to be simply loaded this year, after basically taking last year off but having a heavy crop the previous year. Must be prone to alternate bearing?
I don’t believe this forum celebrates #ThickTrunkTuesday, but just in case, here’s a simply massive madrona tree I just walked past in my neighborhood:
Artichoke flowers are one of my favorites.
The salmonberries on my property I can only imagine eating if they were needed for survival.
We had an osoberry tree at one point, but its not there anymore. I never tried the fruit.
Pick your Blenheims when they are almost orange!
Hi @mrsg47 !!!
I quit trying to grow sweet corn. Not fond of worms.
I buy that ‘super sweet’ corn - in the supermarkets, Costco, etc. It’s yummy. And don’t have husks to deal with. I never knew that about the French . . . that they don’t consider corn to be for human consumption! (Gee . . . That’s how I feel about horsemeat! I wouldn’t eat my ‘pet’.)
Illini blackberries
Tifblue blueberries
OTB black raspberries
Greardi mulberries
And a up and coming double row of clemson spineless okra.
This is the official end of my cherry harvesting season. It was quite a ride for last two weeks or so. Harvested all but left some for birds because this year they behave . Last harvest about 4 pound.
Beautiful @Naeem, you convinced me to get rid of my 2 Lychee trees and replacing them with cherries.
Very nice, coincidentally I bought about 4lbs of cherries this past week and they don’t look as good as your harvest.
Started picking Geraldi mulberries. Very heavy fruit load this year. Grafted onto IE. I liked the ones that were not completely ripe with just a small amount of red. they have some tartness. Even the ones that are all red were good. The fully black ones are ok but are sweet with almost no tartness.
@danzeb … thanks for the tip… i have been letting them get black before picking hoping for max flavor with more ripeness.
I will have to try some part red and all red fruit.
