Cabernet splash blueberry

Anyone grow cabernet splash blueberry?
A Toro sport. Hubby brought one home. Very pretty plant, looking for info on yield

Toro is a decent plant …probably the best ever bred in NewZealand… so if it’s pretty similar, then you’ll do fine.
I’ve not tried this new offering.

Thanks :+1:t2: Im hoping its a keeper. In general NZ fruit does well where i am, 7b maritime

Do you know what the sport characteristics are for this variety versus the standard Toro? I just planted Toro this year so I’m excited for it myself. I’ve heard it’s main downside is soft berries which make it a poor choice for mechanical harvest, but it’s supposed to have very good tasting berries.

Attractive plant for the ‘edible landscape’ too.

Everything i have looked at seems to indicate its fruiting is same as Toro but i guess the foliage color is the difference.
It has moderate fruit set already, will update on quality in a few weeks :sunglasses:
