Tea Breeze, The root system on this plant was not heatly at all. Only 1/3 remained attached when I removed it from the pot. I am going to take a cutting and see if I can root it.
How did your tea plants turn out @lordkiwi? I have been eyeballing them at restoring Eden for a while. Lately I have drinking more tea than coffee. I keep thinking about those tea plants. The one gallon starter pots are like 20$.
Do you just dry them and seep them in water? Or is it more complicated than that?
If you need tea that’ll really wake you up, look up yerba mate.
You can stick them in the oven for a few minutes to dry them before throwing hot water on them.
With Camellia Sinenis according to my teachings from Teavana many moons ago:
How you ferment them before drying and brewing them gives them the “color” of the tea. I have no idea of this process lol. But apparently there’s a fermentation process if you want more or less caffeine and the amount of fermentation it takes on gives it the “color” name. White tea is least fermented and has a lower caffeine count where as black has the most. No idea how true any of this is because i didn’t Google it, just know it by heart now haha
