Can cherries get infected with Dogwood Anthracnose

I was wondering if my cherry had a specific dogwood anthracnose strain as it has similar symptoms, there is a sick dogwood across the street not sure if it is the same disease though. Is it harmful in cherrys? Anything I need to do about it? Treatment?

I don’t believe that’s accurate. It would be remarkable for a plant in Order Rosales like true cherries to hybridize with something in Order Cornales like cornelian “cherries.” I’ve heard of inter-genera crosses but never across separate orders.

I got I picture of the dogwood, is the chlorosis and necrotic spots from from fungus or possibly virus

The necrotic spots aren’t seen well as the are kind of small
