What type of peach is it?

If it is a Reliance, I’d advise to not worry about it and put in something else.

I really would like to same this tree if there is away

It’s been two years now so I really don’t remember what type of peach it is

The crinkled leaves are peach tree leaf curl. It has to be treated before the leaves grow out. Next year in spring spray some copper spray on it. There’s details if you search for it.

I don’t know why it’s only growing on one side - however if the side with no growth gets no sun, it won’t really grow in that direction. If it’s only the second leaf, you can let it grow this summer and then think about trying to shape it in early spring next year.

It looks a little bit sad so maybe give it a bit of fertilizer. Also, peaches don’t like competition - even from grass- so that could be affecting it. it’s best to have a clear area around a young tree.

benthegirl is right on the leaf curl, timing is everything with the copper spray. It needs to go on before the buds swell in late winter, once the leaves are already out it won’t do anything for this season. Worth marking your calendar for February so you don’t miss the window next year.

I will be cutting the grass up as low as I can around the peach tree tomorrow and putting a layer of cardboard and mulch around that

I just want to say thank benthegirl and Joao for all your help
