Can you Identify this wild flower?

This flower is not one I’d seen up until today. Do you know what it is?

Yellow jewelweed, Yellow touch-me-not

I’ve also seen more orange flowers on these plants.

Jewelweed. And orange is what I usually run into if I am out and about in the woods as opposed to the pretty yellow.

Looks like a good creek to arrowhead hunt in.

Jewelweed tends to grow in the same types of habitat that poison ivy does. The juice from the stems also offers some relief from P.I. rash.

All the jewelweed here is of the orange variety. On my old place I had both yellow and orange.

There were definitely natives there at one point but the area is thick with poisonous snakes. I limit my stay in that area for that reason.
