Cedar oil to repel mosquitoes?

Any one have success using cedar oil to repel mosquitoes in the garden?

We bought my father in law a fogger and cedar oil as a present as he was having a wedding and he used it to deter fleas and mosquitos. It worked very well but was too expensive for him to keep up and he ended up selling the fogger for more than we bought it for after he was done with it and called it a success.
