Chaya/Tree Spinach

I got a 2 year old Chaya plant in the pot and would like to put it in the ground in a week or so.
Anyone has 1st hand experience about it’s cold hardiness? I am in 7B so I am 100% sure it won’t survive our winters but will it come back from the roots next spring? I would hate to lose it.
Thanks for any tips

Hello Paul. I think it’s better for you to keep her on big pot as much as you can. When you plant her, do it on the most sheltered place you can.

Chaya doesn’t like freezes. If you could mound up like you would moringa it would probably come back from the roots.

It is very easy to multiply by cuttings, so just start like 4 cuttings and keep those around nursery areas in winter as a back up.
