Cherry Row/wall

I planted a two medlar cherries and my wife game me premission to continue as they had done so well.

So I added some Nanking Cherries. This is there second year in the ground and 5-6th? for the Medler,

Nanking are rapid growing to say the least and easily reaching small tree proportions. I had a half dozen berries last year, This year berry setting has improved but it was by no means flush as the flower cover had previewed.

Mancurian Apricots follow. Less branching and I Will have to decapitate it this winter to force it. Hand full of flower but no setting

Hansen sand cherrys. Two remaning from the orginal 3, These are small. While the apricots and Nanking’s grew 8 foot I can hardly see any vertical grown only some horizontal. They are however setting quite well.

Given the clutter I have to move the taller plants further back to maintain peace. Hopefully a fall/winter transplant will not set them back to much. I would like to get a real harvest of nankings one day.

Note i have fence hooks hanging and the limbs are tied back otherwise they would all be falling back into the walk way more then they already are.

Medler branches break easy and can’t be tied back. Fortunately, they are short and well behaived.
