Cherry Season 2024

Here are the first pictures of my ripening Montmorency cherries. (Third year). Next year will be great.

Few bugs, lots of bees and pollinating insects and no squirrels. Makes a huge difference! The fruit is basically perfect. A very strange sight for me.

Very nice!
My larger, 8 year old Monty set a ton of blooms this year, first time it really went all out. Unfortunately a late frost killed about 90% of the flowers so I’m looking at maybe 200 cherries instead of 2000. Better than nothing though. My Juliet and Romeo are also producing a decent amount for the first time. I’ll post pics when they start to ripen.

This is what happens when you have to run to town. Atleast they let me know via text message. First set for our new trees, sparse but hopefully will continue to get better every season.
