This experiment was conducted from 2019 to 2023 in a trellised cider apple cultivar research orchard at Washington State University’s Northwestern Washington Research and Extension Center.
The trial included eight cider apple cultivars representing the following four bearing types: tip,
Golden Russet and Harrison; spur, Brown Snout and Cap of Liberty; semi-spur, Tom Putt and Campfield; and crab, Puget Spice and Hewes Virginia Crab.
