Clark's Mulberry

Here are a few pictures of Clark’s mulberry as everyone calls it around here. There are bigger berries out there but i doubt theey will out produce this tree overall. These are developed by selective breeding.

I’ve seen a bunch of mulberries here had fruit on them already. Some starting to ripen, but all pretty tiny. Like two pencil erasers stuck end to end small.

@clarkinks Is it alba, rubra or hibrid?

@pileta

It is a hybrid from both.

@evilpaul

Yes, mostly mulberries in the wild are that size.

I received some personal messages. I dont have any dormant scions this year. Next year i plan to give away a bunch for free. You can just send me a self addressed envelope next year. I give away scions of my trees. i never charge for scions. God has a hand in everything i do. People shouldn’t have to pay for things like fruit tree scions etc. I dont like the concept of club fruits. I dont like the idea of trade marks. Im totally ok with patents that expire after 20 years. I see trademarks and club fruits as a way to circumvent our laws on patents. Next year i will likely turn the mulberry over to the @39thparallel nursery after i give away free scions to whoever wants them. Then he can produce as many as he wants since he charges only a small amount of labor for his work grafting etc but never patents or tries to stop people from propagating trees i want everyone to have. I give my scions of trees to Mike @39thparallel so that they will continue to be distributed long after i am gone. I have seen this to often with others like Lehman where noone can find some of their trees later. I want you all to propagate and give away all that you can. My grandfather passed his blackberries down to me which were the best fruit he had to give me. He did that so that we would have wonderful fruits to eat. Many people on this forum freely give away scions just like i do. We have a great community thanks to @scottfsmith where we offer everyone a chance to better their life through the forum. We dont charge anything for anything we do including giving away scion wood. The admins here like @scottfsmith @mamuang @fruitnut @Olpea all post freely and share knowledge here. This mulberry will be no different than my apples, pears etc i have propagated. It will always be free to anyone who ever wants to propagate it.

What is the most convenient time for those interested to reach out for next year Clark? I would like to trial this one and am going to make a calendar note to reach out at the appropriate time.
