Coffee growth over the summer

1st pic is from late April and second is from today. To me they seem like slow growing plants. I did keep it in the shade most of the summer because i feared the heat/humidity would melt it (did the same with green tea). Did just fine using that method. Tried to mainly only water with rain water/fed it once or twice this summer. Will move it back into the house for the winter shortly. Have no idea when these things flower? Fun plant to grow and would recommend.

I bought coffee plants (5/6 seeding in a pot )from Lowe’s years ago. They grew for about couple of years and died during a winter. I was told coffee plant from seeds takes 7~8 years to flower. Mine didn’t survive that long so I only share what I heard, not my personal experience.
