Ordered some Colchicum. The bulb (Corm) is already sending Up flower stalks, but at a weird angle. Should I cut the flowers and plant right side up, or leave them and plant the corm sideways? See pic. Bottom (basal plate) is facing towards me as I take the photo.

They don’t seem to care. I always try to orientate the growth end toward the sky, but I’ve dug these and finding sideways ones isn’t uncommon, especially when they are crowded.
Be careful with them though. they are supposed to have a mutagenic chemical in them which could prove harmful.
