Collier mulberry

Anyone growing this one? Please share your experience with me, I grafted a few last year, no fruit yet, unlike Illinois Everbearing grafts which produced in year 1! I have read that Collier is rated for zone 6, I had some winter die back but it has come back strong.
thanks!

Bumping, because I’m also curious. Just grafted some collier and IE today.

Seems to have survived the winter here with a bit of die back on the tips of the very strong growth made last season…hoping for some fruit thismsummer!

I grow it. Its advantage over Illinois Everbearing is that the crop ripens over a much shorter time, so if you are using the crop for preserves or any other use requiring a lot of fruit in a short time, this is an improvement. If you are using the tree to pick some fruit when you are in the mood for eating a few, IE is better because it bears over such a long season and has somewhat sweeter fruit. IE is also better for the purpose of wildlife food.
