I planted this combo stone fruit tree a few years ago and noticed the apricot and plum varieties were grafted and growing pretty close together. Its about a 2 inch gap between them. I made an attempt last season to try spreading them apart but I wasnt very successful. Will these limbs eventually grow into eachother? Or will they continue to grow proportionaly while keeping the 2 inch gap. I really dont want to have to remove one of them. Looking for an experienced person on this to give me a prognosis
They will meet up eventually. I wouldn’t worry about it, they will work it out.
