My first time dehydrating pears was a success. Did two batches of Potomac. First took 9 hours at 135. For second I sliced a bit thinner and it was ready in 8.5 hours. I think the pears taste more like fresh fruit than the peaches I did.

Those look like European pears. Has anyone tried drying Oriental pears?

Tried dehydrating some mediocre euro pears for the first time… I was surprised how sweet they were after drying. I let them dry for too long so they are hard to chew but I have plenty more to dry and will make them a little softer.
