Delicious Pakistan Mulberry Tree

Hi all my name is Joseph. I’ve grown a Pakistan Mulberry Tree for 5 years up to 20 ft now and this summer was an absolute success after putting up a netting.

What I’ve learned:

  • For a delicate fruit like mulberry, bird netting is not enough as fruit flies will lay eggs into every mulberry which will hatch into maggots that will ruin everything.
  • You must use mesh to cover up the tree from top to bottom with no openings.
  • You must also use mesh or cushion to catch the mulberries to prevent it from hitting the ground since it’s so delicate and it would just splatter everywhere.

This is my tree

WOW that looks like a lot of work! How do you reach the top to create that structure and get the net over it?

So… once you get it netted like that how do you collect the ripe fruit daily ?

Shake the tree… ripe fruit falls to the bottom… you unwrap the bottom to collect ???
