Do peach blossoms change colors when pollinated?

I am noticing that some of my June Gold peach blossoms are wilting much sooner than others. Just wondering if the wilting is possibly due to pollination?

Texan,

The flowers don’t wilt when pollinated. For many varieties, you can tell if they were pollenized because the style (center tube in the flower) will lengthen shortly after it’s pollenized. This is more pronounced on some varieties than others.

The flowers then won’t wilt, more like the petals just seem to fall off.

If your flowers are wilting, is it possible they got frost damage?

Definitely no frost damage…we haven’t been below 48 since the blooms started. Maybe wilting is a strong word. I will try to take some pictures this evening. They start off a bright pink and then turn darker before they fall off…so wilting is probably not the correct term.

And like I said, this process of bright pink to dark pink seems variable. Some flowers remain bright pink longer than others and I was wondering if the darkening symbolized pollination.
