Do you dry cantaloupes?

I had to pick 10 of them at once, and more than half needed immediate attention. I ended with 4 I had to cut and use right a way. As we already finished 3 in last two days, I had to be creative, and I can’t give them away as they are less than perfect. So I decided to dry them in dehydrator. I never did this before and don’t even know if it make sense to dry them. Do you have any experience with drying cantaloupes? What is the best temperature setting and how long it takes for 1/4 in thick slices?

I can’t remember what temperature because this was many years ago (the only year I had excess) but it tastes surprisingly delicious dried! Definitely a worthwhile method for processing cantaloupe.

My drier says 135F for most fruits. It works good for me.
